The Garden Trail at Elizabeth Gaskell's House
‘Every Plant that peeps up is a Treasure’ wrote Elizabeth Gaskell about her garden in Manchester, so we have helped the visitor attraction enhance its outdoor spaces with a family friendly digital and paper-based trail. The new trail has fun facts, discoveries and things to do as you make your way around the traditionally planted Victorian garden. QR codes bring the different elements to life, as do bespoke illustrations giving children and families facts about the plants and features in the garden. We’ve also produced a paper trail for children to follow, which is printed on 100% bio degradable paper, infused with wildflower seeds - which can later be recycled by planting in visitors own gardens.
